Electric Vehicle focus in the 14th Edition of Auto Expo in India

The 14th Edition of Auto Expo began on 9th Feb 2018 with much expected focus on the Electric Vehicles.

As Expected most of the OEMs showcased their strengths and readiness in the EV segment. Some showcased their current known models in EV avatar while many leading global OEMs dazzled the audience with their futurist concept designs.The EV vehicles were on display ranging from 2 wheeler to commercial vehicles.

While it was heartening to see both the Indian OEMs Tata Motors and M&M prepared to take on the EV challenge, good to see Maruti Suzuki also gearing up to meet the mass demand in future. Heroeclectric showcased their EV poweress in the 2 Wheeler segment. Greaves showcased the electric 3 wheeler.

Electric commercial bus coaches were displayed by Tata motors and JBM however it was interesting to see The Chinese Electric Vehicle producer BYD's presence in the Auto Expo with their Electric Bus. 

It would be interesting to see how the EV story unfolds in India
